Skiing at Swedetown

Swedetown has the longest cross country ski season in the region, with 26K of skate and classic ski trails, groomed daily.

Primary trails are groomed daily for skating with set tracks for classic skiing.  In 2016 we were able to purchase our main Prinoth Husky groomer with donations, club funds, grants, and a $65,000 loan.  In 2021, we paid off the loan, thanks to the support of all our members!  We still maintain 3 snowmobile groomers in addition to the Husky.  Our trail system has the longest cross country ski season in the region, with groomed trails typically open from Thanksgiving through the end of April.

There are 4.5K of trails with trail lights on until 8 p.m. seven days a week.

There are also back country ski loops – stride through the woods making your own tracks.

Snow bike trails start at the Chalet – five connected loops for a total of 10 miles, packed as needed.  The winter of 2021-22 we were able to purchase a new compaction drag specifically for our winter bike trails.

Trail Conditions

Grooming has ended for the season, but you're welcome to ski if you find a patch of snow!
